Many of our members have lived and worked in Japan for over 20 years and happy to share our knowledge and experience, whether this be Events, Travel, Food and Culture or just answer questions.

The RNA are always happy to be invited onboard visiting ships to talk to crew about Japan.

YC&AC is Japan’s oldest sports and social club. Situated in Yamate Yokohama it is easily accessed by train from Yamate JR Station.

The club offers crews of visiting RN ships temporary honorary membership of the club whenever their ships are in Japan, with access to all the clubs facilities

Tenzan Tohji Ho Kyo - Hakone Kanagawa

Traditionally in Japan visitors with Tattoos have not been welcome to use the many hot natural baths situated around Japan.

This is because of an age-old association with organised crime. Policies are changing though and there are a few Onsen in and around Tokyo that will accommodate tattooed foreigners.
